EAST BAY DADS This group of fathers with infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children meets Monday mornings at a local park or museum. NEIGHBORHOOD PARENTS NETWORK 800 member families. UC BERKELEY PARENTS NETWORK An active, informative web site and associated e-mail list for parents who work, teach, or go to school on the UC Berkeley campus. MT. DIABLO MOTHERS CLUB Walnut Creek - Lafayette - Pleasant Hill - Concord area. For expectant mothers and mothers with infants and young children; the club's site stresses that it welcomes parents "of all situations: working, at home, single, adoptive, moms-to-be, and others." Meets the fourth Monday of each month, 7 p.m., at Walnut Avenue Methodist Church, 260 Walnut Ave., Walnut Creek. PLEASANT HILL/WALNUT CREEK MOTHERS' CLUB Meets the first Thursday of each month in Pleasant Hill, 7:30 p.m. Playgroups, babysitting coop, stroller walks, moms' night out. Welcoming all mothers with young children. Also hosts an annual Preschool, Childcare and Parenting Fair.

MOTHERS AND MORE SILICON VALLEY.

LAS MADRES A large network of neighborhood playgroups for children born in the same year, with specialty groups for adoptive, single and older mothers and those with 3 or more children. Santa Clara County only. Began in 1953, so it's one of the Bay Area's oldest organizations for moms. Membership information by phone: (408) 265-4056 or (877) LAS-MADRES.

LAS MADRES OF GILROY Parent groups by birth year of child, 0-5 years. While the group welcomes new members at any time, it sponsors a special New Mothers Brunch on the first Sunday in June each year for prospective members, including expectant mothers. LAS MADRES OF MORGAN HILL PLAYGROUPS, INC. An educational and social organization for parents and caregivers with infants, toddlers, and preschool children (ages 0-5 years).

MOMS CLUB OF SAN JOSE

PALO ALTO & MENLO PARK MOTHERS' CLUB Most activities take place in the Palo Alto/Menlo Park area, but anyone on the Peninsula is welcome to join. Mainly for families with children under age 5. TOTALLY TOTS SILICON VALLEY This group began as the First Time Moms Group based in Mountain View on meetup.com. It's moved to Big Tent and is open to all Silicon Valley families with kids and expectant parents.
