Postpartum Depression
(888) 773-7090.
Hotline operated by the Postpartum Health Alliance of Northern
California for new mothers experiencing a postpartum mood disorder
such as depression or anxiety. 9 a.m.-9 p.m., seven days a week.
Caller can leave a first name and phone number, and a volunteer
will return the call within about two hours. All volunteers are
moms who experienced a postpartum disorder and have recovered.
Referrals to professional help, books, etc. also available.
Crisis Lines
Call a crisis
line or parents' hotline if you think you might hurt your child,
if you are stressed out by the demands of parenting, or if you
are just feeling overwhelmed. Calls are anonymous, confidential,
and free.
