Apple Picking at Farms and Orchards in California
Greater Bay Area Apple Picking Farms
Fall has officially arrived, and this means it’s the perfect time to plan a family outing to a local orchard to bring home the fall harvest of apples. Apple picking is fun for kids because the fruit is easy to grab for our smaller people. Grab enough apples to make an amazing homecooked pie, apple sauce or yummy apple butter. It’s best to check the farms website or Facebook page before you head out to find out what’s fresh and available.

For a bit of a longer trek, you’ll get no better apple selection than in the , about fifty miles east of Sacramento. With over 55 ranches offering different apple varieties and activities, you are bound to find the perfect experience for the kids. The Apple Hill Growers Association lists orchard details including U-pick hours, picnic areas, local attractions, and more.
